Convenient location to public transportation and Belvedere Palace. Helpful staff. Good A/C. Lovely breakfast room with an excellent breakfast.
Because of construction of the new train station across the street we were in a "courtyard room." It was very quiet and pleasant. There were some trees in neighboring yards. However, the Hotel's "courtyard" was just a lot of concrete. The view would be much nicer if the Hotel would invest in some potted plants and colorful annuals to dress it up. The TV in our room was very old and small and the remote did not work.
We stayed there 3 nights and had a great time. Breakfast was very good and the staff was nice. The reception staff were ok but a bit cold and in a hurry to give info. Had wrong info to take train so ended up carrying our suitcases a bit longer. Our stay in general was great and I would definitely recommend that hotel. Room was clean and housekeeping ladies were lovely. The outside is so so but the inside is really imperial looking. If I go back to Vienna I would go back to that hotel. About 30 min walk to get downtown but close to Belvedere and easy access to subway to get to Schonbrunn. Lovely trip.
Room was clean and quite modern with air conditioning and being at the back of the hotel it was quiet. Breakfast was good with a generous selection of different food. Value is good for an (old) 4 star Hotel.
Hotel currently faces a building site around the station. The road in front of the entrance is very busy and 'under construction'. It is apporximately 200M to the nearest metro station, which is not very convenient, particularly for older people travelling on a budget.
Excellent breakfast served in a beautiful breakfast room. Helpful hotel staff gave us a good recommendation for a restaurant for dinner.
No toiletries provided in the bathroom
We had a room on the 8th floor, the top floor, with a balcony and a spectacular view on Vienna. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was good, kept being refilled even when it was almost 10.30 and the end of the breakfast hours. Location is perfect; close to the S-bahn and U-bahn and on walking distance from the Belvedere. We will certainly go there again!
We arrived at around 13:30. Our room was already made, so we left our baggages in the room and left our camera to charge the battery and went out. To our surprise, when we came back around 17:00 we found out that our camera was not charged because the clean staff turned off the electricity in the room. (The electricity is served in the room only if you put your room card key into the place nearby the door, so we on purpose left one of our card key there to charge the battery) We don't understand why the clean staff came into our room which was already cleaned. they broke our battery!
The location. Quite close to Vienna centre -25min by foot, 5min by metro. 10min walk to train station from where you can go to Vienna airport. Also the hotel is very close to Vienna internal highway so you can travel to the hotel by car and not being stuck in traffic jam.
10 EURO for the hour access to the internet and 17EURO for a day – this is very big disadvantage.
Big room, nice breakfast, location next to Belveder, quickly get to the airport.
Block money for a card on the eve of day of arrival, and at payment don't remove authorization, and do new operation of payment.
Excelent breakfast. Good staff. Close to sudbanhoff (about 5-8 mins)
Rooms haven't been refurbished in quite long time. Internet is not free and no bathtub.
I stayed in the hotel with my girlfriend. We have been there for two nights, and we regret that we couldn't stay any longer. The purpose of our trip was to visit Vienna.Fortunately, weather was great, but even if it wasn't the hotel itself would give us perfect vacation.
Friendly and price quality good
The hotel is close to the train, subway and electric car station. It can be accessed easily. The room inside is clean. Meanwhile, the breakfast is great.
The original train station which is across the road to the hotel is in construction. Meanwhile, the railroad is still there. So, noises from trains, trucks and excavator may happen randomly in the mid-night or in the early morning. Meanwhile, the WiFi in the public area is not really free as we found from www.Booked.net. According to the staff, we can only access the WiFi for 30 minutes without any payment once no matter how long we are going to stay there. So, please be very careful about this if you are going to use the WiFi in the hotel. The room was not really prepared at the first night when we stayed there. Not enough towels are in the room until we requested the staff to send them. Finally, the balcony is not really clean. A lot of cigarette ends were found in the balcony.
we book in as family of four, when we get there they separated us in two rooms meanwhile they have adjoining rooms since they dont have two double beds.we ask if they can move us in two adjoining rooms, they refused right away.our room smells of smoke. staff are unfriendly, rooms are dusty
Clean, safe, good value for money. I had a single room at 8 floor: little, but with a terrasse offering a splendid view on the city by day and by night. Location will be excellent when the Train station and the street are redeveloped (will be a possibility to go directly to the airport). May be a little noisy now with works. 5 min by metro from city center, 5 min of pleasant walk to Belvedere, 30 min walk to city center. For amateurs: 5 min by metro from Amalienbad (nice biedermyer style swimming pool). Perfect for family stay.
